The development of the future optical network faces the requirement of large scale, dynamism and high quality. One of central problems is that how to efficiently allocate multiple resources of the whole network under multiple resource types and multiple constraints. It consists of two respects. One is large routing and signal conflicts. With the expanding of optical network scale, the TE link and signal information capacity will increase rapidly, and there will be more kinds of optical network resources(for example, physical impairment information). So how to efficiently allocate network resources under multiple constraints is an important subject. The other one is hard to expand services and uneasy to do with complicated service logic. With the expanding of serivce scale and the increase of service types, service logic of optical layer will be more and more complex and traditional control plane will be uneasy to do with the service control and service process. So how to efficiently process service logic and co-allocate service and optical network resources have high application value. Therefore, the reasonable PCE architecture and the corresponding resource allocation schemes are the emphasis of this paper.Main works:1. Do research on PCE protocal and architecture theory. Especially study the purpose, the application scenario, the architecture model and work mode.2. According to the character of small scale optical network, this paper proposes a single domain, central PCE architecture and a PCE routing algorithm considered physical impairment. What's more, author also designed and implemented the RCE key model development of PCE-WSON simulation platform. 3. According to the character of large scale optical network, this paper proposes a multiple domain, distributed PCE architecture and the corresponding DRE PCE routing algorithm. What's more, author also designed and implemented the GE key model development of DREAMSCAPE simulation platform.4. According to the character of kinds of service resources and complicated service logic, this paper proposes a PCE-AMSON architecture and the corresponding resource co-allocation strategy. What's more, author also designed and implemented a SAN service model based on this architecture.
