Low-voltage apparatus is important basic element in industry. There are great variety and large quantity low-voltage apparatus used in much electric power domain. Low-voltage apparatus is the guarantee to safe power consuming and the basis of reliable operation in low voltage distribution power system. Since twenty-one century, a great development of low-voltage apparatus in technology and function has appeared, electronic and intelligent control was widely used in relay, contactor and circuit breaker. Auto Transfer Switch Equipment (ATSE) is a type of important low-voltage apparatus product. The study of its intelligent and network-based technology will be a important development direction.The study both in theory and practice on ATSE is widely carried out in this dissertation. The latest development of the same field both at home and abroad is well expatiated at the beginning of the dissertation. Meanwhile, a description of the basic principles of ATSE and its configurations and features are presented. Based on the digital control system using PIC16F877, the hardware and software of ATSE are carried out. Through study and analysis in uint of singlechip system, signal acquisition and interface, the optimal scheme of hardware and software is explained in the dissertation. Realization of serial communication of ATSE is studied. And, the design of Modbus-based hardware, assembly program and application program interface is presented. Finally ,the anti-interference technology of singlechip system is studied. And some feasible method both in hardware and software is studied. By this, the reliability and stability of system are guaranteed.
