Pattern Analysis And Function Integration Of User-based Subject Information Gateways

From 1990s, Internet develops rapidly in the world and has infiltrated into every walk of life gradually. For a moment, a lot of emergent novelty come forth liking bamboo shoots after a spring rain and then Internet information resources are increasing and enriched with it. Nevertheless, Internet information resources have complex sources, various kinds and no agreed standard, so it is too hard for information users to choose the special information they want from it.Subject Information Gateway is just a good way to integrate resources, tools and service of a certain field or many fields, which can offer more convenient and quick approaches for subject information users. At a present time, large numbers of institutes of academic research such as colleges, academy of sciences and libraries have been setting about or have completed the construction of subject information gateways. So, the research of function integration of SIG and construction pattern of it is of more and more importance. This kind of research can advance constructive opinions to optimize the efficiency, effect and serving ability of information resources organization. It also can guide and assistant the setup and development of new SIGs and help them fall into place and serving efficiently.This dissertation discusses the following problems:Foreword discusses the distributing and trait of Internet information users and then analyses the distributing, demands matter and demands trait of SIG, which is the important part of the Internet information serving system.Chapter one reviews the information resources organization ways of user-based SIG This chapter includes three parts: information resources organization function, resources organization integration and subject resources programming.Chapter two summarizes the basic function of user-based SIG and advances the function integration according to the present developing situation of SIGChapter three introduces some new techniques which can support the development of SIG such as Robot, Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Intelligent Agent, Push, etc. Then reviews the development of such techniques in the SIG.Chapter four analyses the information ability of SIG and advances one SIG evaluation system, which is based on the research of present evaluation of information system and information ability.Chapter five advances the user-based SIG construction pattern based on the discussion of the first, second and third chapters. Then analyses and evaluates the pattern in the way which chapter four brings forward. And last advances some optimization schemes.
