Research On Medical Records Management

Along with the development of the health and medical system and the technology of information management in China, Medical Records Management has become a new branch of science, and has quite a great progress. It has been higher and higher valued than ever before. It is also one of the most important parts in hospital management.Nowadays, the reform of medical institutions grows deeply day by day, and people's consciousness of health care and personal rights is enhancing steadily. The medical institutions need to face a severer situation. They must improve there service, construction and competitive power to maintain more clients and reduce medical disputes, to increase the social health standards and social consciousness on medical care, and also to attain greater development on the medical and health work. Medical Records Management is the basic support on information and technology for medical institutions in supplying the original proof for medical disputes, the first hand materials and data for hospital management, the direct samples for propaganda, and so on. On the background of a closer world and faster and wider transmission of information, it will greatly improve the medical institutions and there work if they can make fully use of information we can get in medical records basing on the premise of protecting the rights and benefits of both medical workers and clients.In the meantime, Electronic Medical Records are the directly results of information age medical records management. It's the inevitable tendency. When EMR cannot grow so fast to replace the traditional work mode in a short time, it's the present focus to work with both of them.In the final analysis I think the medical records management needs to pay more attention to, and should be fully developed its potential possibilities to satisfy the requirement of the age, and to serve the development of the social medical and health work.This paper is to discuss the detailed information of medical records, include the system of medical records management and its work steps.
