Along with equipment's development towards high-speed, high-power, high-stabilization, large-scale and network trend, it's difficult for the traditional method to diagnose the complex equipment fault.In recent years, to meet the requirement of the corporation to the fault diagnosis of real-time, automatic, intelligence, network etc, fault diagnosis system also comes into the age of distributed intelligence. Thus the combination of Agent and fault diagnosis, as well as the forming of diagnostic agent, has been the main trend of intelligent diagnosis technique. It has the important signification to ensure the facility's reliable operation, improve the veracity and diagnostic speed, and reduce the maintenance cost.In this paper, we have analyzed current status and the developing trends of fault diagnosis at home and aboard, and then do some research on the intelligent diagnostic technology, and we discussed the theoretic base of DRFDS by distributed system theory, fault diagnosis theory, moreover these aspects is interrelated and impartibility. And then, we construct the generalized frameworks for DRFDS. Based on this, we discussed the two-layer C/S, tri-layer B/S structures, and indicated the merit and the demerit of the system based on the twi-layer C/S structure. And the Multi-agent technology has been used in the research in the field of fault diagnosis to develop remote intelligent fault diagnosis system, also the framework and development method are proposed in this dissertation. Especially, the communication and collaboration problems between agents are studied. The multi-levels structure has been used in the development of the system. Especially, we designed an advanced and efficient model system by using the support of the JADE platform, this model have been running for improving the right of the development of the systematic designing.The DRFDS have many better properties, such as advanced design thinking, reasonable framework, efficient, security, good extension and adaptability to internet and so on. The dissertation is an useful reference in remote supervise and diagnostic system and the technology of fault diagnosis.
