A Research On Personal Knowledge Management Of Subject Librarian In University

The subject librarian system is an innovation of library services under the era of knowledge–based economy. It began in the 20th century, the end of the 70s, when the United States and Canada, some of the University Library introduced some new services, such as tracking Service , the network of free navigation Librarian and so on, this is the embryonic form of subject librarian. The domestic Subject Librarian research about started a little later. Tsinghua University Library introduced the subject librarian system in 1998,marking the subject librarian system,as a new service model has been widely recognized and accepted. Subject librarian ,as a contact person of a library and the users, a trainer of information quality of users and the reference librarian, has been playing a key role in the respect of understanding information needs, improving the information quality of the users and providing reference services. Subject librarian has been generally welcomed by users.It also established a new image of library services promoting the upgrading of the level of library services.Library needs knowledge management and knowledge services under the era of knowledge-based economy.The introduction of knowledge management to library has brought new vitality to the library. The core content of library knowledge management is knowledge resources management, knowledge innovation and knowledge services management.Then person is the most active,dynamic factors,playing an important role in the process of knowledge management.As the implementor of the subject librarian system, Subject Librarian in Universities who are the core strength of library knowledge management has a lot of advantages and should strive to become the knowledge expert, providing a higher level of knowledge services.
