PTA (purified terephthalic acid) is an important organic material, widely used in chemical fiber, light industry, electronics, construction and other aspects of the national economy, and is closely related to the life of people. PTA plant complex process, the presence of flammable, explosive material, there is the main process temperature, pressure, corrosive and solid slurry media, technical nature of the production run, the operation is difficult, requires high degree of automation. Therefore the design of automatic control systems PTA plant for improving its level of automation to ensure the safety of the production process, has an important role in operation.This thesis is based on an enterprise PTA plant control system. The thesis introduced the PTA plant process and control programs to HONEYWELL's TPS control system platform, designed and implemented a PTA plant control system, content including the overall control system design, hardware design, software design, system engineering realization, production equipment safety interlock and emergency shut down functions with independent safety instrumentation system to complete the SIS to achieve the PTA production process operations control, instructions, records, online computation, overrun alarm, and the process of interlocking functions. The system has been put into operation, achieved good operating results, meet the design requirements.
