Taxonomy On The Genera Neoscona, Cyclosa And Pronoides From China (Araneae: Araneidae)

According to previous arachnological works and lots of specimens collected from China, we studied the taxonomic status of Chinese Neoscona, Cyclosa and Pronoides spiders and we report the results of research here. The content consists of two parts: the general account and the systematic account.In the general account, the review on the status and system of classification, the natural history, morphological characters, studied materials and methods, distribution and biology of three genera spiders in China are given.In the systematic account, this paper deals with a total of 83 species belonging to 3 genera including 19 new species and two new combinations. The new species described in this paper are as follows: 7 Neoscona species, and 11 Cyclosa species, and 1 Pronoides species. For each of the species included in the paper the following topics are treated: examined specimens, scientific nomenclature, diagnosis, description of one or both sexes, geographical distribution and illustrations.
