Large construction structure would be damaged because of corrosion, collision as wellas environmental loads during service period. With the increase of structure service period, the damage is accumulated gradually, which will result in the attenuation of structureresistance and the reduction of security, serviceability and durability ofstructures. Furthermore, it can cause the failure of the structure when the damageaccumulates to a certain degree. Therefore,it is valuable in practice to develop the structuredamage identification technology, especially to diagnose the damage state of structure and toappraise the structure security without affecting the use of the structure.Based on this, theapplication of the structure in the damage detection is studied in this paper with regard to thestate-of-the-art of damage detection techniques. The main contents are as following:1. The current dynamics methods of structural damage detection are systematicallyanalyzed, the advantages and disadvantages of the methods are compared. The reversefiguring ways of current structural damage detecting methods are classified and compared. Onthe basis, this paper presents a method which is combined the sub-structural mode-superposition method with the Iterated IRS Techniques to study the structural damagedetection.2. According an example, the structure of the features are analyzed before and after themodal reduced. The results prove the correctness of the method and the practical value.3.Using the frequency domain analysis, the damage can be identified by the research ofthe damaged structure by Inversion Method.4. Some relevant procedures are programmed with the language of Matlab, and themethod and procedures are proved effective by an example. This dissertation researches the damage identification of the structure based on the sub-structural mode-superposition method and Iterated IRS Techniques by using the newesttheory and draws some theoretical and technological conclusions for the structure damageidentification....
