Military targets’ plumes will emissive strong infrared radiation. It’s one of themost obvious high spots and the plumes have stronger infrared radiation around2.7micrometers and4.3micrometers. At the same time, high temperature phenomenaoccur here and there on the earth, such as volcano eruptions, forest fires. Thesephenomena emissive a large amount of electromagnetic waves as well and causethermal anomaly. Because of high temperature phenomena’s sudden and hightemperature, it cannot be measured on site. However, with remote sensingtechnology, it can be easily monitored in large scale and the technology is widelyused in the military field. The best bands for detecting missile’s plumes are bandswhose central wavelengths are2.7micrometers and4.3micrometers. But there isfew detectors which have those bands so far. A useful method to solve the problem isto convert the band aimed at high spots.The article aims at building a band conversion method. On the basis of deepunderstanding of high spots’ imaging mechanism, high temperature targets can berecognized and extracted according to the difference between high temperaturetargets and background. Then we simulate high temperature targets’ radiations andbuild relations between bands through statistical analysis technique. The articleintroduces the method for bands conversion from the following aspects in details:high temperature targets’ remote sensing characteristics identification, hightemperature targets’ simulation, high temperature targets’ bands relation modeling.Furthermore, we make conversion of volcano’s images on Iceland for analysis. Thearticle contents and innovation are as follows:1) Choosing appropriate recognition methods to recognize and extract hightemperature targets. There are a lot of ways to recognize high temperature targets athome and abroad so far, but it must be used depending on the environment andtargets. In the research, the method for high temperature targets recognition isproposed based on the targets’ environment.2) Building conversion relation between bands based on the simulation data.From the angle of imaging mechanism of remote sensing, the conversion aims at thesame target and the same detector, the difference of different bands’ images mainlycome from atmosphere radiation transfer and radiation itself. The radiation transfer model is proposed to simulate radiation of different bands and then the simulationdata are used for analysis to build band conversion relations. It expands applicationof remote sensing and proposes a new way for virtual image.3) Applying the band conversion model and verification. The goal of buildingthe band conversion method is to get unknown band images by converted fromknown band images, which makes a trouble for verifying the conversion results. Inthe article, a known band is chose as goal band as if it was unknown, and it’sconverted through the band conversion method. Then the conversion results aremade a comparison with the origin image value. So the method is verified.
