Hebei Province is located in the eastern part of North China Plate. Tectonic evolution ofthe North China Plate to some extent determines the structure of the development process in theregion. Since the Mesozoic, the plain area experienced a complex tectonic evolution, makingcoal seam has been a strong transformation and coal accumulation of structural changedramatically. Currently, most of the coal mines in the region has entered a post-mining, mostwells facing scrapped. This article will be the major coal-bearing strata (Benxi and Taiyuan,Shanxi) systematic analysis, summarized Coal rule in the region. It will provide guidance forthe future to find coal.Applying the principle of basin analysis, combined with structural geology, sedimentology,lithology, stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy theory and analysis method, on the basis of acomprehensive drilling, testing rock samples, analyze data and the results of previous studies,the area Carboniferous Permian coal bearing strata of rock types, characteristics, structure andconstruction are analyzed in detail, the sedimentary system are classified,summarized the law ofcoal accumulation. Through the study, the main controlling factors of coal accumulation of thisarea is the sedimentary environment.Based on sequence stratigraphy, geochemistry indicators, identify research area ofBenxi group to Shanxi group4two level sequence interface. It can be divided into3twoordersequences,7three order sequences,17system tracts.Through the analysis of drilling data, combined with previous results, the types ofsedimentary facies of Benxi group to Shanxi group include carbonate tidal flat, barrierbar lagoon, delta, three kinds of sedimentary facies and seven kinds of sub-phase and12kindsof micro-phase types. By using drilling data, combined with limestone, sand ratio andsedimentary section, drawing the sedimentary microfacies distribution map. The LateCarboniferous coal mainly formed in the barrier lagoon environment; the main sedimentaryenvironment of the early Early Permian coal is the lagoon tidal flat environment; the late EarlyPermian coal mainly formed in delta environment, there are4different degrees of coalaccumulation center.
