Landslide is one of the three major geological disasters, has brought the hugeinfluence to people’s production, life, especially in the interaction of strong rainfall, earthquake and other natural factors and the frequent human production andconstruction, landslide stability analysis has become one of the hot and difficulttopics of urgent doubt in engineering field. Based on the survey of previous research results fully, for Huanglianshu Landslide Engineering in Chongqing city, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods are carried out deep on the stability of landslide under different conditions, the main research contents and results areas follows:①Studying on the geological genesis and characteristics of landslide based on theproject, the initial analysis and evaluation are carried out about landslide formationmechanism and stability, the physical and mechanical parameters of rock and soil areobtained, which provided the necessary parameters for the stability analysisof the landslide.②Using transfer coefficient method of analysis and evaluation on stability ofHuanglianshu landslide, the analysis results showed that the landslide is in stablestate in the whole calculation, calculating transfer coefficient of landslide segment, thefirst order block is in a stable state, after the order segment is less stable stateto the steady state.③Using the strength reduction method based on FLAC3Dfor the simulation analysis of the slope stability, the stability factors solved by the method were lessthan the transfer coefficient method, but the maximum error is no more than10%.The plastic zone, displacement and shear strain increment of the landslide were analyzed under different conditions, results showed that,when the water level drops, the index such as the slip displacement and shear strain increment were increased larger than the static water level, even increase up to several times. In order toreduce the impact of the water level change on slope stability, it is suggested tostrengthen the stability of the landslide prevention measures, it is suggested to strengthen prevention measures to insure the stability of the landslide.④Based on the cause of the geologic and the characteristic of the sliding body, according to the analysis and evaluation of the landslide stability from the tr ansfer coefficient method and FLAC3Dnumerical simulation method, propose the reasonable treatment scheme for Huanglanshu landslide.⑤The stability factor of the Huanglianshu landslide after the treatment throughthe numerical simulation meet the design requirements.Then through numericalsimulation for the Huanglianshu landslide to determine the scope of the sliding, it showsthe slope does not slide to the area where the anti-slide piles are set up. however, itindicates the anti-slide pile which is designed without considering the effect of soilbefore it is conservative.
