Landscape ecological risk assessment, which provides theoretical basis andtechnical support for region landscape ecological construction, refers to approachesthat describe and evaluate of the possibility and hazard rating of adverse ecologicalconsequences, which result from human activities and natural disasters, on ecosystemstructure and function at the landscape scale.Hexi Corridor region is a special ecological system which is a desert matrix andsurrounded by landscape. Oasis landscape is showing obvious ecological vulnerabilitybecause the matrix surrounded has closed and long-term controlled by droughtclimate. In recent years the population is increasing rapidly, leading to the oasis inarid areas is strongly disturbed by human activities, breaking the pattern of theoriginal landscape ecological system, resulting in the loss of natural ecologicalprocesses and biodiversity change, affecting the regional ecological security. How toquantitatively describe the risk level of ecosystem in arid area, and evaluatedeffectively and reasonably is becoming the hot issue that concerned by many scholars.In this paper, I’ll set the typical area of Hexi corridor-Ganzhou district as thestudy area, according to2000,2005and2010three TM images as the basic data,combining with ArcGis technology to obtain information of Ganzhou landscapepattern changes and according to the features of the landscape construction oflandscape ecological risk index as the ecological risk assessment index of the studyarea, adding the use of spatial analysis methods ArcGis9.3spacing ecological riskindex, revealing the grade and the change of distribution in Ganzhou area. The resultsof regional ecological risk assessment is used to provide countermeasures forregional ecological risk management, to provide suggestions for landscape ecologicalconstruction and to provide guidance for the improvement of regional ecologicalenvironment and maintenance.The results show that: in the study period, he corresponding change of landscapepattern of Ganzhou occurred. The cultivated land and construction land areaincreasing rapidly plays an important role in the regulation of woodland and grasslandarea decreased in arid ecosystem in Hexi Corridor region, most of the unused land was converted into cultivated land and construction land. Between2000-2010, thetotal number of patches in the study area increased firstly and decreased secondly,showing with the development of economy, the study area of land use type is variousand all kinds of landscape fragmentation degree of the overall has increased too.Spatial distribution of ecological risk level of Ganzhou has a certain regularity, thatthe ecological risk level distribution within the study area showing a significant radialstructure, showing the overall ecological risk level from the center to the sidesgradually decreased. Ecological risk level of the study area is not very high, withlow-risk, low-risk and high-risk-based, regional ecological overall level of risk ismedium-low type.
