Lunar soil sampling technique has significant scientific and appliedsignificance, hopefully improve the current status of the Earth energy shortage.Lunar soil drill and coring mechanism is an important feature to achieve lunar soilsample collection and recycling, coring methods currently used for non-slip soft bagwith a high coring rate, low power consumption coring, effectively keeping lunarsoil sample sequence information, etc. By unknown lunar surface sampling effects,developing a drilling and coring test system which has lunar surface environmentsimulation; drilling process simulation; characteristic parameters of coring test hasimportant scientific and practical value. The topic comes from China’s lunarexploration project and develops drilling and coring test system.Clarified the coring mechanism including maintaining core tube, soft bag,drawstring pouch and seal assembly, and analyzed no slip soft bag coring principle.Analysis of the coring characteristic parameters of coring mechanism: the pullingpressure when the soft bag turning and sealing; Sealing parameters after coring; thesoft bag’s wrapped characteristics and core principle of the slip soft bag aftersealing.Design of a lunar soil coring and drilling mechanism Testing System which iscomposition with rotary drilling drive system, winding shaping device, simulatedlunar regolith cryogenic transport device, etc. The test system can detect pullingpressure, shaping wrapped torque, rotary drilling speed, sealing closing force,coring process visualization parameters. The finite element is used to check stressand strain of the main load bearing components. Conducted a coring deviceperformance test system detailed design.Designed and built a control system for coring mechanisms test system whichis divided into hardware and software system. Completed the motor control and dataacquisition from sensors, while the collected data is processed and stored.Complete coring mechanisms functional test with test system, including motorspeed test,synchronous Motor Test, the verification of no-slip soft bag to keepcoring sequence. Also verify that the different sealing bags take relented effortargument by mentioning the influence of temperature.
