Most of the oil field have entered the middle-late period in China. As the improvementof developing technology, it turns very important to find a most reasonable and effective wayto search and develop residue oil. In order to improve the geology knowledge of reservoir andsolve problems in development, this assay has expounded meticulous thin layering andcomparison and a further studying of sedimentary facies on Fuyang reservoir in Wangjiatunarea with fine sedimentary theory.Formation division and correlations of strata is of great importance for the lithologicreservoir exploration because it will directly affect the accuracy of the cognition of individualsand body and lithologic reservoir forecast and oil-gas distribution. On the basis of the studyon3D seismic project of Fuyang Reservoir in Wangjiatun area of the Northern part ofSongliao Basin, this project sets up the high frequency sequence stratigraphic framework withthe application of the theories of sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology. Helped by seismicdata, borehole log, logging curves and cores, detailed research and analysis on the sequencestratigraphical framework, depositional system, evolution of the Fuyang reservoir inWangjiatun area of the northern part in Songliao Basin have been carried out in the paper.By studying a lot of well logging, mud logging and coring data detailly, we devidedFuyang reservoir into six reservoir teams and thirty-five small reservoirs with the principle ofequitime-cycle comparison and phase rank control. Based on the study of area lithologiccharacter, sendimentary structure, sendimentary sequence, rock assemblage and loggingcurves characters of Wangjiatun area. We built the micro-facies symbol of the studied zone byanalysising the coring, logging facies, signal well facies, multi-well facies and the distributionof heavy minerals and then we further distinguished three more facies, five sub-facies andtwenty-two micro-facies. At last, we found the benifical zone based on the study ofsendimentary facies with the relationship of sendimentary and oil-gas from well.
