This paper is guided by the theory of the sequence stratigraphy, reservoir sedi-mentology etc, to carry out the research for the reservoir characteristics for the some area ofXujiaweizi fault subsidence of northern Songliao basin. Based on referring to the explorationfruits of previous geological, well drilling and well logging etc, making fine tectonic,lithologic explanation for stratum of the Nantun formation by sufficiently using thecharacteristics of the block data, ready for reservoir prediction. And the subsidenceboundaries are defined by the big base faults which are determined by the3D seismic data insome area of Xujiaweizi fault subsidence of northern Songliao basin; the super sequencesboundaries are recognized in the seismic profiles by the typical features of the sequenceboundaries which are the truncation and onlapping and so on; Combined with the log data of16deep exploration wells in the region and the Syntool model in the LandMark explanationstation, synthetic seismogram at different frequencies and using different sub-wave are made,accurately calibrating of the main reflector layers. Finally, combined with the wellscorrelation profiles, exploration results in the adjacent areas and old seismic data, thegeological layers horizon calibration and correlation are completed in the skeleton tracksections, while according to the layers of the reflected wave group characteristics andcomparison principle, finally a rational explanation plan of the program in the region isestablished.Another notable feature in the survey is the well-developed volcanic facies. Magmachamber of magma along major faults and volcanic channels rose to near Shahezi formation,and kept rising along stratigraphic weaknesses to the surface in the work area, and then manycentral eruption of volcanic were formed in the western part of the study area. Thus, volcanicchannels are identified according to the columnar chaotic reflection of Shahezi andHuoshiling in the seismic profiles, while using seismic horizontal slice, slice coherentinformation to explain volcanic conduits. Ultimately through the stack depth migration profile,inversion profile, frequency processing, multi-attribute analysis methods, horizontal slicesand coherent body analysis, the volcanic eruption is identified[5-6]. By petrophysicalintersection analysis, petrophysical parameters which are sensitive to the reservoir lithologyare preferred. Using of pre-stack inversion technique, the volcanic and conglomerate indifferent formations are predicted, finally completed the prediction of reservoir.
