With oilfield exploitation deepening, especially in the third mining stage, accurateidentification of large sets of sandbody and thin sandbody and the lateral variation ofsandbody are the important task of oilfield exploration and development, which requires afinely geological research. Geological workers make geological research by electrical loggingdata, which is convenient and accurate for the drilled wells. Sandbody between wells areusually studied by the existing sedimentary laws and the relative geological theory, which cansolve problems of reservoir researches in a certain extent. But it is not able to accurately andeffectively predict reservoir tectonic and geological characteristics.Under the guidance of the sequence stratigraphy and reservoir sedimentology theory,based on equal height principle under the control of traditional marker and sedimentary cyclecorrelation, the paper applied comprehensively the3D seismic phase constraint method andinter-wells cycle closure correlation detection method to make comparison of inter-wellsformations and fine division of formations and small layers. In the combination of well andseismic, wells synthetic seismogram were applied to make horizons calibration, faultsinterpretation, and horizons tracing in order to ensure accurate and reasonable structureinterpretation. On the basis of the regional seismic interpretation, full3D technology wasapplied in the combination of fault, fine interpretation of the main target layers and favorablestructures. Structures were implemented accurately. At the same time, wave impedanceinversion and geo-statistical inversion were applied to identify large sets of sandbody and thinsandbody, which could accurately and effectively predict inter-wells sandbody change.According to geo-statistical inversion profile and hierarchical sandbody thickness extracted,the paper compared and analyzed the existing sedimentary facies, modified and adjusted them.It provides scientific direction for the exploration and development of oilfield.
