With decreasing conventional hydrocarbon resources, the demand for oil and gasresources has soared. The exploration of unconventional oil and gas resourcesattracts more attention. Tight sandstone oil and gas is a kind of unconventional oil and gasresources. From the view of the exploration of unconventional oil and gas resources home andabroad, the reserves of the tight sand gas is very huge, the largest in unconventional oil andgas resources. The tight sand gas is also the most realistic measures in our country’sgas reserve growth. The characteristics of Shuixigou Group of Taibei sag in Turpan-Hami basin are of gentlestructure, tight reservoir. The hydrocarbon generating potential of source rock is higher instudy area. The source rock directly contacts with reservoir. These factors are all essential tothe tight, low-permeability sandstone reservoirs formation. The multi-exploratory wellsdeployed by Tuha oilfield in Taibei sag, and a good breakthrough have been obtained. Themulti-exploratory wells deployed by Tuha oilfield in Taibei sag, and a good breakthroughhave been obtained. Turpan-Hami basin has extensive tight sand gas prospecting foreground. To predict the reserves,we used the calculation methods of conventional hydrocarbonresources. Based on the practical data and with the aid of the dynamical and statical methods,we accurate the reserves of tight sandstone oil and gas in Shuixigou Group of Taibei sag inTurpan-Hami basin. The sandstone reservoir evaluated by porosity, throat, specific surfacearea, wettability. To determine the capability of gathering oil gas, the flowing capability of theoil and gas, the rock’s adsorption and displacement water capacity. And the reservoirparameters the reserve calculation with the volumetric method. The applications of thedynamical methods used in study area which contain flexible two-phase method, theproduction decline method, material balance method. Then we contrast the result ofdynamical methods with statical methods. According to the contrast result, the volumemethod has high calculate precision. Several dynamical methods are generally applicable tothe middle-late period of oilfield development, and needs all the accesscery dynamicproducing data. Otherwise, the results will have lower reliability. So, we suggest that you’dbetter not submit the reserves based on the results of dynamical methods.
