Abstract:Compared with observed data of a single survey, a variety of observation data from the same geophysical model from different measurements are readily to describe the resulting subsurface conditions. This is because the different geophysical methods based on different physical parameters of the underground media are sensitive to different physical parameters. Therefore, by jointly using different geophysical datasets may compensate each other’s deficiencies. For example, surface gravity exploration can provide lateral resolution with high accuracy, but provided far less vertical resolution than its lateral resolution. Instead, between well-to-well seismic data can provide a higher vertical resolution, but cannot provide high lateral resolution. In addition, conventional gravity inversion or seismic tomography is mostly based on structured grids. However, after explicit relevant literature research, although the structured meshes can, to a certain extent, approximate the complex anomalous geological structure, but cannot achieve a high approximation. Thereby getting a better approximation of the number of grids must increase, which results in increasing computation. By contrast, unstructured grids have a very good approximation to the resulting bodies. Therefore, this paper combines the advantages of both exploration methods mentioned above, a jointly invert the dataset based unstructured mesh. Moreover, Tikhonov regularization is used to regularize the ill-posed inverse problem during joint and single inversion. And the author selects a typical geophysical model to analyze the results.
