The Analogous Reservoirs Sequences Establishing In Tarim Oil Area

Oil and gas reserves, one of the important indexes to evaluate the development potential, are the basis for the production and management of oil companies.SEC issued "Modernization of Oil and Gas Reproting" in2008. In this Reproting, there is a clear definition of analogs, and the concept of "Reliable technology" is used in analogous reservoirs. Analogous reservoirs, as used in resources assessments, have similar rock and fluid properties,reservoir conditions(depth, temperature, and pressure) and drive mechanisms, but are typically at a more advanced stage of development than the reservoir of interest and thus may provide concepts to assist in the interpretation of more limited data and estimation of recovery.This paper discusses the the method and principle of the analogous reservoirs sequences establishing. Based on this theory, we choose five oil and gas blocks of Tarim oil area of Petrochina, including four types of sandstone reservoir, carbonate reservoir, high permeability reservoirs and condensate gas reservoir, to study features and characteristics of analogous reservoirs. Finally, we establish the complete information of three analogous reservoirs, including sandstone reservoir and condensate gas reservoir.Through the study work, the following results are concluded. The first, we put forward the overall idea of the analogous reservoirs sequences establishing, based on understand and master the basic techniques and principles of estimating recovery by analogs, according to the characteristics of the geology and exploitation in Tarim, zoning reservoir type scientifically, prioritizing classic of reservoir or block. The second, we identifie the preferred range of analogous reservoirs, including all blocks which evaluated by dynamic method as of2010and extensions and discoveries blocks and PUD blocks which evaluated by D&M. The third, according to the characteristics of condensate gas reservoir in Tarim, we put forward a new method for estimating the economic limit, based on the economic limit calculation method of gas reservoir and gas oil ratio and effctive price of integrated products. The last, we establish the data and map informations of analogous reservoirs for typical reservoirs or blocks, and provide template for follow-up work on the analogous reservoirs sequences establishing in Tarim oil area in Petrochina.
