With growing energy demand and continuous consumption of conventional oil and gas resources, oiland gas supply and demand contradiction is becoming increasingly acute. Therefore, the use ofunconventional energy sources arosed people ’s attention. Shale oil and gas has become a hot spots.to thenon-conventional oil and gas exploration and development. However, the effective exploitation of shale oiland gas resources, which need a scientific and effective evaluation criteria to guide the classification ofshale oil and gas resources.Large set of dark shale and oil shale development in qingshankou formation of the Southern Songliaobasin, distribution stability, high organic matter content, basically in low-mature-mature stage, depth ismoderate, with excellent conditions for the formation of shale oil and gas. The results old wells reviewshow that the southern Songliao Basin Qingshankou oil shale development, logging response characterizedby its "three high and one low”.By parametric analysis found that between the residual hydrocarbon contentand TOC have a good trichotonous, established a shale oil grading evaluation criteria, which can beclassified as inactive shale oil and gas resources (TOC <1%, S1<0.5mg/g), inefficient resource (1%<TOC<2%,0.5mg/g <S1<2mg/g) and enriched resources (TOC>2%, S1>2mg/g).Based on logging and theevaluation criteria of shale oil grading, carried out southern Songliao Basin shale oil and gas resourceevaluation, the results show the total resources of59.4billion tons of shale oil in Songliao Basin, whichlevel (enrichment) is14.955billion tons, mainly in qing1member (4.808billion tons), qing2,3member(6.08billion tons) and nen1member (4.068billion tons), mainly favorable areas in Honggang, Fuxinupheaval and northern Changling.Reservoir characteristics displayed intergranular pore development insouthern Songliao Basin, clay mineral content about52%,illite content is heavy, followed by chlorite, kaolinite content is not conducive to fracturing transformation. For the xiaochengzi area, although highabundance of organic matter in qing1, the shallow depth, organic matter mainly for immature-lowmaturity stage, shale oil is invalid. Qing1member high organic matter distribution in the northwesternregion, and the gas measurement anomalies, indicating shale contains some natural gas.
