Natural gas hydrate is a new kind of energy source that has attracted the attention ofevery country in the world. Currently the research about Natural gas hydrate both internal andexternal is mainly testing and analyzing its physical character and developing simulationexperiments. This paper task is mainly the exploration and experimental testing technology ofnatural gas hydrate acoustical experiment installation. It also explores new technologicalmethods by doing the experiments about the syntheses and decomposing of Natural gashydrate. The installation introduced in this thesis can imitate the syntheses of Natural gas hydratethat generated in some special pressure condition when the natural gas proliferates slowlyfrom the bottom up by controlling the differential pressure between the upper air chamber andthe lower one in the reaction kettle. And in the experimental process, the temperature pressurechanges are monitored by Pt100thermal resistance and pressure transducer and the synthesessaturation is checked by time-domain reflection technology in real time. During the synthesesand decomposing of Natural gas hydrate in sediment, the acoustic characteristics are tested byultrasonic detection technology. The entire experimental installation is highly automated andcan collect the temperature, pressure, time-domain reflectometry and ultrasonic data in thereaction kettle automatically and safely. This paper will present in detail the pressurecontrolling in the reaction kettle, temperature, time-domain reflection technology system andthe configuration, standardization and calibration of ultrasonic detection system. This paper will also introduce the improvement of the technology for ‘lower air inlet’Natural gas hydrate experiment with using permeable anti-water sand first time and thedetailed experimental procedure. And in the end, it will analyze and compare the temperatureand pressure, time-domain reflectometry and ultrasonic data; it will also analyze the saturation changes of the syntheses and decomposing of Natural gas hydrate and then thispaper tests and verifies the characteristics of the whole experimental installation. At last, this paper will summarize research findings, point out the shortcoming of theresearch task and suggest how the research project carries on next.
