At present, the reports on structures and functions of various metabolites produced byPaecilomyces lilacinus are relatively few. Paecilomyces lilacinus TD16is a variety orsubspecies of Paecilomyces lilacinus whose metabolites are unique by previous studies. The studies on characters of metabolites produced by Paecilomyces lilacinus TD16contribute to better understand certain biological aspects and practicability of this fungus. The concentrated solution of extracellular pigment from Paecilomyces lilacinus TD16was obtained by macroporous resin adsorption method. D301T resin with an adsorption rate(77.56%) and100%ethanol solution with a desorption rate (72.17%) were chosen as thebest adsorption resin and desorption solvent. The extracellular pigment was stable at pH6.0-8.0, and<40℃, relatively. The extracellular pigment, extracellular polysaccharide, extracellular metabolites andintracellular metabolites have obvious antioxidant activities. The antioxidant activity ofintracellular metabolites extracted by water at35℃is stronger than that of intracellularmetabolites extracted by water at30℃,25℃and ethanol. The maximum scavenging rates(%) of the extracellular pigment on hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical were55.33and63.43at2.637(absorbance at303nm), respectively. The extracellular polysaccharide, extracellular metabolites and intracellular metabolites extracted by water at35℃had thebest scavenging effect on hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical at5g/l, scavenging rates(%) were44.47and52.20,84.12and90.07,59.47and74.11, respectively.Paecilomyces lilacinus TD16has a good control effect on root-knot nematode andaphid. The fermentation broth of fermentation cultivation7d had the best insecticidal effect, and relative parasitism rate was47.10%; The mycelium of infection15d had the bestinsecticidal effect, and relative parasitism rate was56.86%. The average activity ratio(44%) of aphids after treatment of fermentation broth was significantly lower than that(73%) after treatment of sterile water; The number of aphids on plants sprayingfermentation broth decreased significantly and the plants grew better than the control group, under natural conditions.
