Marine controlled source electromagnetic (MCSEM) exploration technology is a detection method depending on the resistivity of the seabed to determine whether there are oil and gas reservoirs, is widely used detection methods for marine oil and gas reservoirs before drilling reservoir prediction and evaluation value. Marine CSEM technology have obvious advantages, it has highly data acquisition device. It not only complements the marine seismic exploration, improve the success rate of exploration drilling, it can also be effective subsea oil and gas exploration and natural gas hydrate reservoirs. CSEM technology and seismic, logging, integrated interpretation of geological and other information can improve the sheet resistivity of the oil and gas interpretation accuracy, distinguish between underground oil and gas and other fluids, increase the precision and accuracy of exploration, improve the success rate of drilling.Although foreign marine electromagnetic rapid development, but the development of the domestic marine EM is still very slow, the research tasks, including fast and efficient processing hardware and software is still very backward, the current substantive research related to domestic marine CSEM exploration technology still in its infancy, perfect marine electromagnetic detection method of data processing and interpretation technology has not yet appeared.This paper based on the fundamental of existing marine CSEM, relying on the national research. By studying a large number of marine CSEM references and literature, I have done the following works in order to provide some help for further study.(1) By collecting and analyzing large amounts of marine MT exploration, marine CSEM detection and other related technical information, more in-depth understanding of the marine controlled source electromagnetic (MCSEM) basic principles, and in this paper describes the theoretical basis of MCSEM in detail.(2) I have describe the emission device of marine CSEM and detect and analyze the characteristics of marine CSEM transmitted signal. In addition, I have analyzed several common marine CSEM transmitted waveform, especially square wave signal used in this study were analyzed in detail.(3) I have describe the receive device of detect marine CSEM and analyzed the characteristics of marine CSEM received signals, mainly through the relationship of the received signal and transceiver distance to study characteristics of marine CSEM received signals.(4) By studying a large number of excellent visualization and interpretation software in domestic marine electromagnetic and geophysical disciplines, identify visual interpretation methods for marine CSEM’s. In this paper, I have used the amplitude versus offset curve (MVO) data interpretation methods, the method described in detail in this paper, and I have do some experiments, the experimental results by drawing graphics illustrate the relationship between the thickness of the high resistance reservoirs MVO maximum;(5) Based on the previous studies of marine CSEM, in this article I have analyzed and summarized the data processing steps, summed up marine CSEM data processing include the following steps:raw data initialization; azimuth correction, there are two ways to choose, that is elliptically polarized analysis and analysis of rotating electrical axis; eliminate marine CSEM noise signal; and finally merge sailing location data visualization interpretation drawn graphics;(6) In this paper, I have used MATLAB software and high-level computer programming language Fortran to program, finishing the following works:the data processing, one-dimensional forward, one-dimensional inversion, development of data interpretation function module, and eventually explain all modules integrated software system.(7) In this paper, I have introduce the instructions of interpretation in details, including the introduction of the system interface functions described buttons, check boxes, drop-down lists, etc. In addition, describes how to set parameters and some systems the default action, and finally using this the System Software do a series of tests and then compared with the results with some reliable marine CSEM conclusions, to verify the correctness of the results interpretation.
