Fractured reservoir is an important oil and gas reservoir, correct understanding of the spatial distribution and the internal structure characteristics can realize high efficiency exploitation of oil and gas. Fractured reservoir is formed under different geological force, the physical properties have a big difference between surrounding rock, and the spatial distribution and the internal structure characteristics are complex. So far, there are many methods to detect fracture based on pre-stack and post-stack seismic data, such as curvature, coherence attribute, and so on. But the fractured reservoir space distribution and structure characteristics of the internal of these methods is not enough accurate, the detection precision of these methods remains to be further improve.In order to improve the understanding of fractured reservoir, this paper mainly base on two aspects which are the numerical simulation and fracture detection(curvature analysis). We optimize the conventional numerical simulation and fracture detection to improve the accuracy of numerical simulation and fracture detection. This article main research content and understanding are as follows:(1) Analysis of the influence of structure smoothing method for detecting fractures. Compared and analyzed the difference of the time slice between the original seismic data and structure smoothing, and calculated the coherence attributes of original seismic data and seismic data after filtering, at last we discussed the influence of the structure smoothing method for detecting fractures through the time slice and coherence attributes.(2) Analyzed the influence of the resolution of seismic data for detecting fractures. Using numerical simulation method to simulate the several synthetic record of different wavelet frequencies, calculate the curvature attributes of the synthetic records, influence of the seismic resolution on fracture detection is discussed by comparing the curvature attributes.(3) Put forward the numerical simulation method based on ant tracking and modeling process. Numerical simulation is one of the commonly used means to understand specific geological body. Through the analysis of the modeling of conventional processes, we know the conventional modeling depends on the seismic horizon which is done by artificial comparing and tracking and fault interpretation results too much, so the accuracy is relatively low. Compared with other identification methods ant tracking technology can identify the fractures more accurately, by changing the ants tracking process and analysis of different parameters combination of ant tracking results, a more clear ant section can be concluded which geological structure characteristics is more accurate. Using the seismic horizon which is done by artificial comparing and tracking and fault interpretation results and the more clear ant section to build a more elaborate model improve the accuracy of the results of numerical simulation. Using the ant tracking technology to conventional numerical simulation method to improve optimization is helpful to the understanding of the seismic response characteristics of fractures.(4) Developed the azimuth curvature method based on the analysis of the rose diagram to detect fractures. The anisotropic characteristics of normal curvature attributes is obviously, they can’t highlight the characteristics of fracture development in specific Angle. Azimuth curvature attribute method comes from the calculation of curvature based on scanning angle, the azimuth curvature attribute can strengthen the curvature of a particular direction. It provided a method to detect the particular direction of fracture development. Fracture development direction is complex, so the azimuth angle information is not easy to obtain, rose diagram analysis can obtain angle information through calculating the frequencies of different fracture intensity in research area. Compared with other methods, Angle information which calculated by rose diagram analysis is more accurate. This provides the solutions of angle information to the azimuth curvature analysis method in the particular direction.
