The Research Of Spermatophytic Flora And The Correlation In Flora With Vegetation In Minqin Desert Region, Gansu

Minqin Desert Region is located in the northeast of the hexi corridor in Gansu province, sandwiched between Tengger Desert and Badain Jaran Desert, it’s in special location and characterized in the temperate desert climate. Analyzed and discussed the composition and geographical components of spermatophytic flora in Minqin Desert Region and the relation with other arid desert regions of Northwest China and the correlation with vegetation through the survey statistics and data analysis and other methods. The following conclusions were got:1. There are 1020 spermatophytic species (including infraspecies), belonging to 423 genera and 95 families on Minqin Desert Region,including the cultivated plants 75 families,200 genera and 375 species; the wild plants 60 families,279 genera and 663 species. It’s a typical desert flora and its wild plant resources are relatively poor.2. Gymnospermous plants only havel families,1 genus and 5 species in the wild plants, so angiosperms are absolute superiority.8 dominant families of flora contain more than half genera and two-thirds of the species and there are 43 kinds of dominant species which play the leading role of vegetation building in this area belong to 8 dominant families. The advantage phenomenon is obvious.3. The spermatophytic flora of Minqin Desert Region has the tropical affinity on the occurrence. It’s consistent with the tropical origin said of the flora of China.4. The family and genus of the flora are superiority. The flora is classified temperate nature and Tethys composition is the major constituent part of the flora.5. There are not the family, genus and species on this field and endemic family to China. The endemic family to China have four and endemic species to China have 80.It illustrates the flora have a low endemism.6. There is relatively higher on ratio of the family of single species and single genera and there are more old genera. The flora has an old origin and many plant groups developed from the Tertiary period.7. Minqin Desert Region has highest similarity with Wuqia of Xinjiang and Anxi reserve, followed by Alashan Desert District and Jinta of Jiuquan. But it has more distant relationships with Qaidam basin and most distant relationships with Junggar basin.8. The flora and the vegetation of Minqin Desert Region both show temperate nature and desert nature and have high correlation.
