Handan’terrain: high in the west and lower in the east, is roughly at Jingguang railway boundary. The east region is the Piedmont diluvial alluvial plain,which is wide and flat, and the west region is Erosion landform, Mountain range、hills、Basininterphase distribution,Valleypassed through,and The surface morphology varies considerably.Based on Geomorphic features, at Taihang Mountain piedmont fault boundary, the target area can be divided into two major Geomorphic unit: the west of Crack is In hilly area of Taihang Mountain, and the east of Crack is The North China Plain deposition area.Based upon the analysis of drilling lithology,sedimentary facies,sedimentary gyration,granularity,wave speed,dating data and sporopollen information in Handan urban area,combining with the forefather datum and archaeomagnetism,the divisionevidence of lithostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy is determined,the studies on the Quaternary stratigraphic division and correlation are carried out.Quaternary lithostratigraphy in the study area in Handan urban area can be divided into 4 units named Guan formation,Yangliuqing formation,Ouzhuang formation and Holocene The research shows that Handan area of Quaternary Strata thin gradually from west to east: according to Compared with a figure to the north and South Corridor drilling,the west is major in fluvial based,Sediment growing thinner, and the east is major in fluvial and pluvial facies based. The reason of this difference is primarily the scale and thickness of the hollow and the fault activity.: high in the west and lower in the east.According to the latest division scheme and criterion, based on TL dating data and mark of event stratigraphy, Quaternary in Handan urban area was used to be divided into4 parts including Lower-Pleistocene(Qp1),Mid-Pleistocene(Qp2),Upper-Pleistocene(Qp3) and Holocene( Qh). The Pleistocene/Pliocene boundary is fit lower to M/G resversal(2.48 Ma B.P.);Qp2/Qp1 boundary locates at B/M resversal(0.73 Ma B.P.);Qp3/Qp2 boundary is 0.128 Ma B.P., corresponding to the Blake event, and Qp /Qh boundary is0.01 Ma B.P.,corresponding to the Gothenburg event.
