Shanzi copper deposit is located at the intersection part of the Fragrant Hills Ordovician- Ordovician continental margin slope basin-Fragrant Hills-Wei Ning Kitayama Silurian- Devonian foreland basin, which is located in metallogenic belt east of silver- south-west Huashan. The area is located in tectonic zone of south-central region of Ningxia Fragrant Hills Yitian Jingshan, which is an important part of southern Ningxia area structural belt. Intraregional is part of the North China region, Qin Qi Kun formation zone, Qilian North Qinling stratigraphic area, in southern Ningxia formation area. Tectonic structure is located at belt dual Shuangpu-Majiatan thrust body Xiangshan- Tianjingshan thrust sheet of Ningnan arc structural, main Structural movement are period of Caledonian tectonic activity, Indosinian, Yanshan and Himalayan.Early Structural movement prepared the ground for copper deposition. The author analysed the mineralization geological characteristics, cause of genesis, conditions of metallogenic and determined the prospecting mark which is based on field researching of the gorge ditch deposit, indoor testing and comprehensive analysis. The results are as follows: 1. The occurrence Devonian of research area are devonian on the higher Laojun group. The Ore-bearing rock of ore body which author delineat is light purple quartz conglomerate; The roof of it is gray- light gray quartz sandstone, the floor of it is red mudstone, which is looked like layered. 2. The natural type of ore is the void filling and fissure filling. Ore minerals are malachite, blue chalcocite, chalcocite, tetrahedrite, covellite. Malachite granular and irregular quadrilateral, Star bulk and disseminated ore distributed at gap of quartz or filling as veins by fissure type. Tetrahedrite is distirbuted at the rocks by star and Disseminated form Unevenly or filling by type of Intermittent vein and Stockwork fracture, filling mainly by fissure. 3. The ore-hunting mark of Gap ditch copper ore zone are: stratigraphic markers-Copper occurs in the changed light and red rock formations of devonian strata; lithology mark- the ore- hunting mark of mine is light conglomerate and sandstone interlayer in devonian on the higher Laojun group. The direct ore- hunting mark is mineralization mark-peacock petrochemical mineralization in mine; environmental mark-late Paleozoic sedimentary mountain lakes is ideal place for prospecting marks and structural configuration, if the development of internal pores, joints and fissures is better, the mineralization will be better, which can be used as an indirect prospecting mark. 4. The two proces stages of Shanzi copper deposit formation are sedimentary and late leaching and enrichments.
