With the development of plant extracts industry, less and less active compounds were found in general environment. Therefore researchers began to focus on microbes isolated from extraordinary environment(medicinal plant endophytes). Recent research shows that endophytes not only have antibacterial, antitumor, insecticidal, antiviral, antioxidant activity and also can produce some substances promoting plant growth, such as plant auxin cells, and excited gibberellin directly contributing to the growth of plants. Endophytes are becoming a kind of important resource that people are looking for the new antibacterial antitumor drugs. This study began with the microbial isolation, total 26 actinomycetes were gotten, 18 of which were from Panax notoginseng, 8 of which were from Rhizoma Paridis. 6 strains KIB0184(196)、KIB0352、KIB0365、KIB0368、H6248 and KIB0393(LF1) were selected as the targets through the screening by antimicrobial activity and fermentation technology.According to the morphological characteristics and 16 S r RNA gene sequence analysis, Strain LF1′s accurate taxonomic positions was identified and the name Streptomyces kasugaensis was proposed.12 compounds were got from these 6 strains by a combination of chromatographies over normal- and reverse-phase C18 silica gel, gel filtration over Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC and determined by spectroscopic analyses including HRESIMS, 1H NMR, 13 C NMR, HSQC, COSY, HMBC, 8 of which were identified. Three of which are anthraquinone compounds including SPY-1, SPY-3 and 196A2.1; Two of which are heterocyclic compounds with sulfur and nitrogen, they are thiolutin and aureothricin; Three of which are 1-acetyl-β-carboline, cyclic dipeptides and Salicylic acid derivative. Other 4 compounds two belong to macrolides, two belong to aliphatic acid.
