There are many resources in our country,but most of them in the complicated terrain area such as swamps, deserts and mountains. It is difficult to achieve a large area of exploration even in relatively flat terrain, because ground electromagnetic efficiency is low.Since the 50’s of the twentieth Century,airborne electromagnetic methodhas for decades in mineral resources exploration, groundwater investigation, geological mapping, and other fields for a wide range of applications.The airborne electromagnetic method works as air excitation and air receive, and it has low cost, high efficiency of exploration, can such characteristics as large exploration, so that the method can overcome the ground electromagnetic method in complex terrain area construction difficulties.The time domain airborne electromagnetic method is known as one of the effective tools in complex terrain area exploration,because it has great exploration depth and good lateral resolution compared with the frequency domain electromagnetic method.This paper research and analysis of the one-dimensional airborne transient electromagnetic forward and inversion based on the national 863 high-tech project "airborne geophysical exploration technology and equipment" and it’s planning project "helicopter time domain airborne electromagnetic system’s practical research" and project " airborne electromagnetic data processing research".The main content of this paper includes the following aspects:First, this paper starting from the Maxwell’s equations,the layered half space of center loop source forward response formula is deduced, and modeling the one-dimensional forward.In the one-dimensional forward method, the author gives a deep analysis of frequency-time domain transformation, compared the sine transform,cosine transform and the G-S transform on the influence of the forward response.Second,the application of damping least squares method to achieve the inversion of airborne transient electromagnetic data. Several important problems such as selection of the damping factor, calculation of Jacobian matrix and setting quality control index have been analyzed in the inversion process.And discussed the inversion results of typical three layers and four layers model.Third,this paper complete the airborne transient electromagnetic forward and inversion process to do parallel computing based on MPI, the first to verify the correctness of the parallel computing, and then compares the serial and parallel computing time problem, atlast discuss on different processors and different number of processes of parallel computing, parallel speedup and efficiency problem.
