The giant Wajilitag Fe–Ti–V oxide ore deposit, outcropped in the Bachu area of Tarim Basin, is closely linked with the formation of the Early Permian Tarim LIP. The correlation of major elements and metal elements(Fe, Ti and V) of the samples from both outcrops and drill holes with the application of multivariate statistical analysis were studied. The relationship between Fe–Ti and major elements have been studied by the method of correlation analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis and regression analysis. Correlation analysis of the drillhole data showed that the Fe, Ti and V contents have positive correlation each other. The regression equations among Fe and Ti variables and other variables were established. The equation of V=-4.984+0.360Fe+0.984 Ti among Fe, Ti and V was also established to predict vanadium content when Fe and Ti contents are known. The Fe–Ti–V three-dimensional cubic charts are drawn using the visualization of Matlab in order to establish the spatial distribution mode and predict the potential ore body. Our study showed that the contents of Fe2O3T、Ti O2 and V2O5 are mostly enriched in pyroxenites in the middle area of the northern part of the Wajilitag oredeposit. This study addressed an effective role to delineate and trace the distributed trend and enriched potential of Fe, Ti and V ore bodies, and further predict its inferred resource.
