The landslide movement contains a variety of action such as a slippery body caving, sliding, rolling, sliding slope impact resilience and particle collisions, et al. A variety of factors such as mechanical properties and landslide movement of particles, as well as physical parameters all relate to the movement process. So far, related researches are mostly based on the formation mechanism of the sliding body, and the sliding motion, but few studies on the moving characteristics after the sliding body decline. In this thesis, motion simulation for gliding of sliding body is based on the discrete element method, and it is the key to analyze filling characteristics of the sliding body and after impact to landslide caused by the role of the retaining wall. The main research work is as follows.Firstly, a two-dimensional discrete element model is established and the landslide movement and accumulation are simulated. Based on the analysis of the sliding body space form of different time in the process of decline, the basic motion characteristics during the sliding body in the fall is given. At the same time, through statistical method of impact action at different height in the sliding process, static accumulation characteristics are discussed after impact. Finally, the influence law on the biggest accumulation force by the sliding friction coefficient, the storage area length and angle of slope are analyzed, and further we discuss the impact of these parameters on static accumulation forms.Secondly, based on particle flow code, the dynamic impact model is set up and the basic operation characteristics and rules of energy conversion are analyzed for the fixed retaining wall which is set in the slope of the particle flow. Then the change of impact force for retaining wall over time after sliding of landslide body can be get, and the comparison between simulation results with existing experimental results verify the accuracy of the model has been given. In addition, the influence of friction coefficient of particles, length and roughness of slope on impact force is analyzed; Discuss the main difference between the impact model of this chapter with the landslide motion model used in the third chapter, and give the principal influence factors about the different calculation results. In conclusion, research on the motion characteristics and impact action for retaining wall of landslide motion offer theoretical basis for analyzing and revealing operation characteristics of landslide motion. Moreover, the related researches can also explore the complex process between particle group and continuous structure. It is a beneficial attempt for micro-level study on the dynamic characteristics sliding movement.
