Low resistivity hydrocarbon reservoir is a special kind of strong concealment of oil and gas layer, which common define as reservoir resistivity less than or close to the resistivity of surrounding rock, or difficultly identified reservoir that resistivity close or even cross with water, or defined as the reservoir that increasing rate of resistance less than 2. Oil and water layer on the electrical is difficult to accurately distinguish due to complicated geological genesis and formation conditions, which lead to the identification evaluation is difficult. It is easy to underestimate or omit this kind of reservoir by traditional identification method. In recent years, the low resistance oil layer identification method has become the research hot spot, but also become one key research objects of the oil field exploration and development.After dozens of years history of exploration in Bohai area, more low resistance oil layer have found in some areas with the constant improvement of the exploration degree and understanding. It is confirmed by the test that many low resistivity reservoirs with high productivity. So the low resistance reservoir identification evaluation method has very important practical significance.This article form a set of effective identification and evaluation methods that suitable for different causes of low resistance reservoir through the analysis of the characteristics and genetic types in bohai area, and different resistivity hydrocarbon reservoir geochemical logging data characteristics and comparative study on the influence degree. Sensitive parameters are optimized to identify low resistivity reservoir by the geochemical logging. These methods have been effectively promoted and deeply applicated in the Bohai area, which accumulate valuable experience and understanding for comprehensive interpretation and evaluation research of low resistivity reservoir logging, and play an important role in the process of reservoir exploration and reserves implement.
