This paper utilized the obtained multiple detection material composition of the moon’s orbit, and connected with the new moon exploration LOLADEM remote sensing image data analysis and processing, discussing the relationship and influences between roughness and mare basalt dating which on the basis of the lunar stone division. And verified the roughness can be used as a parameter which demonstrated the relative geologic age of the mare basalts, combined with the crater of frequency-size dating techniques. The main contents are as follows:First, global rock classification principle: the Fe- Th element two-dimensional scatter diagram, all the samples can be composed of a triangular projection area, three Angle respectively represent the KREEP, anorthosite and basalt. Determine the division standard, the entire Luna surface can be divided into three types of rocks. Three main rock types of macro point of view, image brightness have obvious difference, from basalt, KREEP, anorthosite, increasing brightness. Division of basalt units will use TiO2, FeO etc, on the basis of information extraction, color composite classification. According to the principle that the basalt which not in the same period time, whose material composition tend to have larger difference.Second, Knock-on effect is an important geological process recording on planet formation and revealed the evolutionary history of the planet. Craters which formed by the Knock-on effect can be used in the study of geological unit formed on the surface of the moon. Now Crater frequency- size Distribution is a statistics method which applied to lunar geological age area, utilizing the data obtained by using remote sensing technology and returned to the lunar surface samples of isotopic dating results. This paper calculated the absolute geologic age of dividing basalt unit area by using CSFD.Third, Surface roughness is an important kind of terrain parameters on the degree of ups and downs in a certain range. From the lunar surface roughness parameters, this paper made on basic present dichotomy characteristic roughness, roughness on the mare is low, and roughness is higher on the terra. In this paper, themare basalts area divided by the roughness of the information to do the statistical analysis, contrast to the absolute geological age obtained by CSFD. The mathematical relationship between them is discussed, and the roughness is used to indicate the relative age of mare basalt and filling process of basalt.
