The first discovered of natural gas hydrate in Qinghai southern Qilian basin Mu li area. It has important scientific economic and environmental significance. But people did not make a further analysis and Research on the possible occurrence of the natural gas hydrate area. At the same time, it is lack of quantification of natural gas hydrate reserves. Therefore, this area may be used as raw reservoir formation study is of great significance. Usually we in turn can be used as raw reservoir formation is called source rocks, and methodically evaluated. This paper is mainly about the hydrocarbon source rock reservoir cap combination analysis which based on the geological profile measurement, Profiles and sheet rock microscopic identification results in this work shows that the measured, the stone in study area is mainly limestone, feldspar quartz sandstone, lithic quartz sandstone, quartz sandstone, mudstone shows a small amount of purple. Basic on the observation of sheets, found in the study area sandstone general maturity is not high, sorting is not very good, and occasionally are developed cracks and holes, but mostly by the late filling. Permian in reservoirs can be used as raw limestone, mudstone, the analysis for them shows low levels of organic carbon in the rocks is very low, the sample data show Permian source rocks organic carbon content is substantially 0, it can be initially determined to be invalid Permian source rocks hydrocarbon source rocks. Although the standard evaluation of the Permian source rocks for hydrocarbon source rock invalid, but it also has a very important significance for the later worker can provide a scientific basis, to avoid invalid losses.
