The Study On Sediment Geochemical Indexes Andtheir Correlations With Hydrocarbon Geochemical Index Characteristic In ODP Typical Stationsassociated With Gas Hydrate

Gas hydrateshavegained widely attention by the world asa new clean energy. With the development of gas hydrate, study of related technologies of exploration and development becomeincreasingly urgent. Our nation’s gas hydratesdevelopment programis being scheduling now, and we plan to achieve commercial development of gas hydrates in about 2030, so there is an urgent need forthe study of gas hydrates exploration and development technology. Hydrocarbon geochemical method is one of the common hydrates exploration technologies, whichhas great significance for hydrates investigation and research. But we usually get datas from shallow sediments, which is different from the Ocean Drilling Progarm(ODP)that gets datas from the wells. The lack of deep datasrestrictsthe application and development of hydrocarbon geochemical method and other indexes,hence need more detailed studies and in-depth exploration in the vertical dimension.ODP’s special voyagesfor gas hydrates provideabundant datas and material for our study. Based on the domestic and international gas hydrates researches,we adopted the method of comparing the ODP published datas and results with hydrocarbon datas, explored the significance of hydrocarbons geochemical indicators for the marine hydrate exploration, studyed the correspondence between sediment geochemical indicators with hydrates occurrence and hydrocarbon geochemical indicators.. We also summarizedthe characteristics ofsediment organic matter in different ODP stationssystematically, as well as the relationship withhydrates occurrence zone and free hydrocarbon indicators,compared the content and isotopic characteristics of carbonatewith acid hydrocarbon components for the first time. Thestudy has great importance for the applications and promotionof hydrocarbongeochemical exploration methods for gas hydrates.
