Beijing, the population of more than 10 million, is one of the metropolises in the world. A great pressure could be found between the energy and environment, recently. Renewable clean energy becomes an effective way to solve this problem. The shallow geothermal energy has many advantages than the others, such as the wide distribution, huge reserves, rapid regeneration, easy collection, and pollution-free. Hence, widely use the renewable clean energy is an effective way to reduce the using of fossil fuel and environmental pollution, which is agree with requirements of sustainable development. Therefore, the development and utilization of renewable clean energy become an important object of the geologists.Suitability of partition is an important for development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy, which have to fully considerate the hydrological and geological conditions, watery, permeability, water quality, water temperature, recharge parameters, thermal parameters and geological conditions. Suitability of partition was based the differences of the exploration ways.The purpose of this thesis is to using theory of the suitability partition to distinguish the shallow geothermal energy in Yanqing basin, which located in the north of Beijing. Based on the local geological and hydrogeological conditions, Wangjiabao village,Yanqingyizhong,and Zhong Ta square have been selected as the representative area for pumping test and recharge experiment. The zonation map of local water source heat pump suitability was drawn based on both of the experimental data and distribution of shallow Quaternary lithologyAccording this study, we found that the best area for the heart pump were located in the north, central and south piedmont region of Yanqing Basin, while, suitable turn weak in the areas of Zhangshanying Town and Kangzhuang Town, Yanqing Central and Eastern, Jing Zhuang West, Shenjiaying Town, Yongning Town and the most parts of Xiangying Town. The areas of Guanting reservoir and Zhangshanying TownJinjiabao Town- Liuhaoying are unsuitable areas.
