The offshore area is closely connected with human beings and human activities in this area are frequent. In the offshore region, the wind is the main driving force of the ocean circulation. Many phenomena of the circulation in coastal regions are directly related with the characteristics of wind field. In this study, the special environment of the study area makes it very changes in surface wind, has caused widespread concern in the related research field. At present, used in the offshore research data is mainly reanalysis data. But the reanalysis data has low resolution and it can’t meet the requirements of more fine. The different remote sensing data between time and spatial resolution does not agree, and spatial incomplete coverage. There are many weather stations in China coastal regions. If can through some fusion technology make remote sensing data and the local meteorological station data together, the formation of the wind field data which has high resolution and full coverage of coastal area, will have the vital significance in many research on the offshore region.This study chooses the eastern part of China(Liaoning, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang four provinces) offshore area as the study area. First of all, do the quality evaluation of QuikSCAT and WindSAT satellite wind data with the buoy data. Then using the Kriging method, Cressman method and improved Kriging separately on the QuikSCAT and surface meteorological wind data fusion and WindSAT wind data and ground meteorological wind data fusion, obtained a plurality of satellite ground multi-source wind fused data set in the study area. Then do quality evaluation for the fusion results with real data and choose the individual data graphics display. Finally, statistical characteristic value with analysis and comparison of different data sets, and obtained the advantages and disadvantages of each and give the reasons.The results show that, the QuikSCAT and WindSAT wind data with high precision, and can be used directly in multi-source wind data fusion. Multi-source fusion of Satellite data and ground data based on Kriging, Cressman and the improved Kriging result has reached extremely significant level,and the improved Kriging has the highest accuracy.The results show that, the use of multi-source data fusion technology can make up the missing wind data in the offshore area, and to construct the offshore region long time sequence, full coverage of the high resolution wind field data collection is feasible.It is important to the offshore wind energ resources development and application.
