Awulale carboniferous rift zone is the favourable area to find iron deposits having something with rift volcanism. Beizhan iron ore exists in the collision docking belt parts of Tarim plate and Yili micro-plate. The writer did some field site visits and collected samples in the mining and outlying area of Beizhan iron ore. Via optical thin section microscopic identification, chemical analysis testing for major elements, trace elements and rare earth elements in the samples, the writer studied the mineralizing conditions of Beizhan iron ore and investigated the causes of Beizhan iron deposit preliminary. It can be found that the main strata exposed in the surface of Beizhan iron ore’s mining area is Dahalajunshan Group in Low Carboniferous. The main lithology is a set of intermediate-basic volcanic lava of littoral facy, and the second is the rock assemblage which is made by the silicic lavas mixed up with pyroclastics and normal sedimentary rock. Beizhan iron deposit has genesis of marine volcano sedimentary, superimposed by later thermal solutions. Iron mainly comes from intermediate-acidic volcanic rocks early. Basic volcanic rocks may well have the same source with ermediate-basic volcanic rocks, and adjacent rocks and ores may have the same source-enrichment mantle. This deposit has undergone two mineralization process, incipiently sedimentary volcanism shaped the seam of iron ore of volcanic sedimentary type, then skarnization made the original ore body mineralizing further. The writer did some field site visits in the mining and outlying area of Beizhan The writer suggests that Beizhan iron deposit should be done more mineral prospecting in deep. And it is also necessary to find more iron deposits which are Beizhan’s type.
