Sinu-San Jacinto Basin is located in the northwestern part of Colombia along the Caribbean. The areais the junction of the Caribbean plate and South American continental plate. Geological background iscomplicated and tectonic movement is strong as well as fracture and fold is numerous. Research on thestructure of the basin have done some work, but mostly research concentrated on the basis geological andwide range of tectonic evolution. It is a lack of a systematic study of the structural characteristics. In thispaper, characteristic of gravity and magnetic for the study area is analyzed in the help of geological andseismic information. The feature for the gravity anomaly and magnetic anomaly is discussed. The systemof faults, the depth of the top surface of Pre-Cenozoic and tectonic units is inferred by the use of gravityand magnetic analytic continuation chart, horizontal derivatives chart, vertical derivative chart, the totallevel of gradient chart and other related processing and interpretation of chart, as well as two-dimensionalseismic, drilling, geological data and the results of previous studies. The study found that the homology ongravity and magnetic anomaly is low in Sinu-San Jacinto Basin; the trend of fracture is north-east,north-north-east, the main fracture is large-scale and control the development of the layer, but thesecondary faults is small-scale and usually cut off the main fracture, or distributed in parallel with the mainfaults; the changes of the depth of the top surface of Pre-Cenozoic is wide range, the thickness of theCenozoic of the western and northern part of study area is2000-5500meter; Sinu-San Jacinto Basin can bedivided into the western depression, central uplift and the northern depression. A strong tectonicdeformation in the central uplift, and the thickness of Cenozoic in western depression and northerndepression is significant, and hydrocarbon condition is favorable, specifically local tectonic uplift, so it isadvantageous to point to parts of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation. And the results of the aboveunderstanding can provide a basis for overseas oil and gas geophysical exploration.
