With the update of geospatial data accelerating constantly and the aerospace dataacquisition technology innovating, the contradiction between the geospatial data andthe management and applications of historical data will become more and moreprominent. Existing static GIS has been unable to meet the management requirementsfor geospatial data. So in the big data environment, how to expand the integration andintegrated management of the spatial and temporal data is a major issue for ourcountry and the world. With the development of3S technology, traffic data samplingfrequency increases rapidly and traffic data increases in a form of geometric growth.The research scholars commence to solve dynamic, real-time, massive trafficinformation and spatial and temporal variation characteristics of traffic data, and meetthe people growing traffic demand. To meet the above requirements, we need tointroduce temporal GIS, which is an active, multidimensional and predictable GISsystem integrating theory and methods of time geography, temporal database and GIS.As the core contents of temporal GIS, temporal data model is the most importantpart of the temporal GIS. Based on the above analysis, this paper will examinewhether the highway spatial and temporal integrated data modeling method canachieve integrated management of massive freeway traffic data and road network data.Specific research contents and results are as follows:Firstly, we present the theoretical basis of highway integrated spatio-temporaldata model. After describing the basic design process of integrated spatio-temporaldatabases and the spatio-temporal concept of geographical world, we analyze thedemand for highway network spatio-temporal database. The dynamic and the statictemporal information lay a solid foundation for establishing the following highwayintegrated data model.Secondly, the highway dynamic and static information temporal integrated datamodel is constructed. Several typical existing temporal data models are comparedfrom these aspects of data organization, data storage, data integration andcomprehensive analysis. We can obtain these advantages, the disadvantages and the development trend of the data model. Furthermore, the study of dynamic and staticinformation highway temporal integrated data models are built, that is, the conceptmodel, the logical model and the physical model.Finally, after introducing the characteristics and the corresponding physicalmodel of distributed database HBase, the highway network temporal database basedHBase is designed and implemented, verifying the above theoretical research results.This paper focuses on the access issues of the highway massive traffic data andthe road network data in the cloud computing environment, we propose aobject-oriented highway spatio-temporal integrated modeling method, and conduct ahighway dynamic and static information time-space data model including a conceptmodel, a logical model and a physical model. Then highway temporal integrateddatabase based on HBase is developed, providing a preliminary solution for dynamicmanagement of highway massive data.
