A Research On The Human Skeletons Of The Eastern Han Dynasty From Dacaozi Graveyardin Ping’an County Of Qinghai Province

Qinghai Province, which belongs to the upper area of Yellow River, is located in thenortheastern Tibetan Plateau. With its eastern frontier reaching to the Loess Plateau and southernpart locating at the Tibetan Plateau, Qinghai Province is the linking part between agriculturalzone and pastoral zone. This area is also a melting pot for Han group and Qiang group duringHan Dynasty. Exploring the nationally physical considerations and racial types of Dacaozipopulation is strongly meaningful for the history of ethnic amalgamation in Qinghai Province.This dissertation includes five chapters, which is based on the research of the humanskeletons from Dacaozi Graveyard in Ping’an County of Qinghai Province, the Eastern HanDynasty. It is a research with different methods such as demography, anthropometry andethnology.ChapterⅠ ExordiumIn this chapter, the geographical location and civilization of “Qinghai Province” isintroduced, the geographical and historical background of Dacaozi Graveyard is described, andthe purpose and explanation theory of the paper is explained.ChapterⅡ A Study on the Population of Ancient Residents on the Human Skeletons fromDacaozi GraveyardIn this chapter, the author discusses the problems about age of death, sex ratioy, demologyand biology.ChapterⅢ A Study on Morphological Characteristics and the Racial Type on the HumanSkulls from Dacaozi GraveyardIn this chapter, the human skulls of Dacaozi Graveyard are studied by the method of mainmetric and nonmetric characters, and compared in terms of cranial race type.ChapterⅣ A Study on the Genetic Relationship among Groups in Dacaozi, QinghaiProvince and Other Related Districts.In this chapter, the study will focus on the genetic relationship between Dacaozi Graveyardand other ancient human groups. And combining the results of the historical research,archeological research and molecualr genetics, the author has a comprehensive analysis andstudy on crowd constitution, physique changes, species and source of Dcaozi population.ChapterⅤ Conclusion The chapter makes a summarization about the whole four chapters.
