We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of Acrossocheilusfasciatus and Zacco platypus, and found that are all composed of single covalentlyclosed circular chromosomes, and the entire mitogenome length is16589bp and16611bp, respectively. The gene contents of A. fasciatus and Z. platypus weresimilar with previously reported Cyprinid fishes mitochondrial genomes. Bothgenome contained13protein-coding genes(PCGs),22tRNA genes,2rRNA genes,and1control region. All PCGs start with a typical ATG codon except for COX1which use GTG as start codon, and the usage of termination codons includes TAA,TAG, TA and T. The nucleotide composition of A. fasciatus and Z. platypusmitogenome is remarkably AT biased (55.7%and56.2%), which reflected thepreference of A+T as the same as the vertebrate. we distinguished three conserveddomains of D-loop regions, by comparison with other Cyprinid fishes.
