This paper is focus on the middle Triassic Lei Kou-po formation in Si Chuan,basin southwest, China. Mainly around the part of Lei Kou-po carbonate source rockscharacteristics and source rocks-natural gas trace. Combine results with actual facts,according to the research needed to obtain the raw data, data collection, samplecollection and laboratory analysis stage research and other works.It showed good oil and gas in the whole basin in Lei Kou-po formation. As far,three gas fields have been found. There are Zhong Ba gas field in west of Si Chuanbasin, Mo Xi gas field in middle of Si Chuan basin and Wo Long River gas field ineast of Si Chuan basin. Two gas-bearing structures, Guan Ying Chang and Luo DuXi structures. Several industrial gas flow d isplays. For example, Western Sichuandepression, Yuan Ba district in Guangyuan and LongGang in the fourth member ofLei Kou-po.Sichuan Basin in Triassic sedimentary evolution Lei Kou-po stage belongs toIndo-China movement. Located in the southeast of the Yangtze plate Jiangnan upliftof cratonic basin with terrigenous supply plays a dominate role. And control of thedevelopment of sedimentary facies distribution. From Longmen Moutain in thenorthwest to southeast Jiangnan uplift followed by development with slopes-basins,platform edges,confined or semi-confined mesa,tidal flat facies in whole basin. Moxi in Sichuan region-tongnan area, eastern sichuan’s wolong river,and Long Gang district,the higher the content areas in western sichuan depression.the value more than0.3%,the other place is less than0.3%.The source rock thickness varies between0~480m,in generally between 100~250m.Yanting~Dayi, thicker area in western Sichuan Depreesion,Luzhou,Kaijiang palaeuplift and other regions of the northern section of theLongmen thinner and more less than100m. has been eroded and exhausted in LuZhoupalaeohigh formations along Leikoupo.The Ro maturity value distributed between0.96%~2.51%in Leikoupo. the stageof evolution is in mature–over–mature. The main system for hydrocarbonlayers were upper Triassic Xujiahe coal-bearing strata, upper Permian coal-bearingsource rocks and leikoupo their source rocks.
