On the basis of statistics and analysis of the measured data, using the on-site rockmass characterization and quantitative grading the corresponding train of thought, thecommonly used method of rock mass quality classification in the leaf and theapplicability of the deep deformation damage of rock mass slope of letan hydropowerstation are analyzed, and find out all kinds of classification methods in leaf and deepbank slope deformation and failure of letan hydropower station problems that exist inthe rock mass quality classification, and amended, finally establish a set of suitable forleaves the bank slope of letan hydropower station deep deformation and failure ofrock mass quality classification system. The research content mainly includes:(1)Application based on the statistical data collected in-situ, Q, RMR, HCthree methods to preliminary deep deformation damage of rock mass qualityclassification.(2)According to the classification results of conventional classification methodbased on the method of the weight of these factors and rock mass deformation andfailure characteristics, of three kinds of conventional classification methods in deepanalyze the applicability of the deformation damage of rock mass qualityclassification, get the following contents:①Classification results are mainly Ⅲ1Q system and Ⅲ2two levels, amongthem, the Ⅲ level1(73.3%), Ⅲ level2(26.7%). This method takes into accountthe integrity of rock mass and structure characteristics and water surface, the influenceof in-situ stress of rock mass quality, focusing on the characteristics of the structuralsurface factors impact on the quality of rock mass. Because this project deepdeformation and failure of rock mass affected by fault near, there is no obvious withflabby rock mass influence the type of rock mass quality is the most prominent factor.But there is no index quantitative relaxation in Q rating system on the quality of therock mass, and Q system that number of sets of structural plane of rock mass qualityhave an important influence, but according to field survey of surveying and mapping,structural plane group for this factor’s influence on the quality of rock mass in thistype of deep deformation damage of rock mass does not occupy the importantinfluence. ②Method of RMR classification result mainly Ⅲ1and Ⅲ2two levels,among them, the Ⅲ level1(33.3%), Ⅲ level2(66.7%). RMR classificationmethod considering the strength of rock, structural characteristics, water and mainstructure of the occurrence of the influence of rock mass quality considering theproportion of the distribution of scores, you can see, RMR method focuses on the rockstrength, structural plane filling conditions, structural plane opening and groundwaterconditions that several factors impact on the quality of rock mass. Due to the deeprelaxation type deformation and failure of rock mass near the fault, the influence ofloose rock mass is the most prominent feature of this type of rock mass, and RMRmethod for relaxation is not sensitive to the influence of effect on rock mass qualitydegradation, still makes it difficult to relaxation effect on degradation of rock massquality considering the classification system.③HC method classification results are mainly Ⅳ and Ⅴ two levels, amongthem, the Ⅳ level (80%), grade Ⅴ accounted for20%. HC classification methodconsidering the strength of the rock, complete degree, rock mass structure state,groundwater status, main structural plane occurrence on the influence of rock massquality according to the score, you can see that the proportion of allocation for thiskind of rock mass, according to the saturated uniaxial compressive strength todetermine the rock types, the score of different rock types have different system, themodel has great influence on this type of rock mass quality, due to the type of deepdeformation damage near fault, the springback value conversion of uniaxialcompressive strength is low, the majority of the adit period of classified as soft rock,so that the total score is generally low, that is to say, HC grading methods layparticular stress on rock strength proportion of impact on the quality of rock mass, theuniform in lithology, weak down to the deep deformation and failure of micro newweathering rock mass, the method is not applicable.(3)For leaf and deep deformation damage characteristics of rock massdeformation and destruction of letan hydropower station caused by the lack ofconventional classification method of grading and classification in the process of partof the scene description and the corresponding grading index and rock mass properties,proposed in view of the leaf and deep deformation and failure of letan hydropowerstation correction scheme of rock mass quality classification method.①To extend the Q system for joint length and the contact of the wall of theirjoint vague description of the quantitative description of the correction for the same asthe field of surveying and mapping. ②Revision RMR classification approach for rock strength, RQD, joint spacing,the sectional rating of three indicators, using the equation established between indexwith the score to replace sectional score.③Reference HC method in structural plane occurrence score and fieldinvestigation statistics of the characteristics of the structural plane occurrence,modified the original structural plane occurrence score.④Introduce the relaxation effect on degradation of rock mass qualityclassification in Q system, RMR method, and the reduction of specific correctionmethod, the fault fracture zone width and rupture intensity the division of thedegradation effect of strength index.(4)Will get the rock mass deformation and failure characteristics of the field ofsurveying and mapping correspond to the adjusted score, build on leaf and deepdeformation and failure of rock mass quality classification of letan hydropowerstation.
