Western Sulige gas field is located in ertok banner and front ertok bannerterritory, ordos city, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total area of11560km2.Affected by the different sedimentary diagenesis, reservoir rocks and porecharacteristics have some difference. With the deepening degree of exploration, locallithologic gas reservoirs appeare different degrees of phenomenon of water production. But conventional gas log interpretation results are basically a few gas-containing gasand the water layer, which can not accurately identify the gas-water layer, all of thishas a greater impact on the production and development. In this paper, we study the characteristics of the reservoir as well as loggingresponse characteristics, analyze the geological origin of water gas production, andthe gas water has been bounded to the status quo of water, interlayer water andretention of water three categories. Based on the logging in natural gas responsemechanism, forming six integrated gas sentenced identification methods, whichinclude partition plate method, density-neutron mirrors feature france, apparentmodulus of elasticity coefficient method, slowness difference method and arrayinduction-associated lateral resistivity measurement method. We establish thelogging sub identification model on the gas layer, water layer and gas-water layer.Gain back critical analysis, accuracy assessment and model validation accuracy, anddetermine a reasonable logging identification model. According to the result ofcomprehensive identification to classify the gas layer. Ultimately based on therelevant parameters,we determine the block logging capacity prediction method. These can effectively guide the development of western Sulige areas, improve wellproduction for the gas wells, and lay a solid foundation for increase reserves andproduction of Sulige gas field.
