The earthquake is a natural phenomenon that cause vibrations and produce seismic waveduring the process of rapid release of energy from crustal. Through the continuous research onseismic waves, people develop the method of searching the source of earthquake by seismicwaves, the source location. The shock waves caused by human activities have samecharacteristics compared with seismic waves, therefore, it can provide us very importantinformation by analysis seismic wave that we excitation and collection. The current sourcelocation is already widely used in geological prospecting, oil exploration, groundwatermonitoring, the shell positioning in the military and other purposes. The propagation speed of seismic wave have great difference in different medium. Inorder to solve the impact of the locating error due to the speed measurement deviation.Proposed a locating method based on seismic waves which wave speed can be ignored.Research on existing locating methods, in the model of uniform velocity and highersignal-to-noise ratio and within the sensor array of seismic source, the time-difference methodhas the highest accuracy. Therefore, in the basis of the time-difference method, based on theprinciple of fast and accurate, chose the correlation coefficient as the determine conditions, using the finite element method to inversion seismic source position.Software design uses Visual Studio2008as development platform. It provides a largenumber of controls and supports webpage development. In the design of the software byadding built-in browser call Baidu map to monitor the situation of area and the state detectorsthrough satellite map during source location. The data processing module of software designedas Dynamic Link Library. Increase the function to call MATLAB function that could make fulluse of each platform. Finally, analysis the data collected by field experiment that validate the locationalgorithm. In the case of rational layout of detectors, positioning error can meet the systemrequirements.
