The emission spectrum of mineral reflects the absorption characteristics of mineral, which can make up for the defect of visible light, near infrared remote sensing, and detect fundamental frequency vibration and small changes of some atomic groups. It has typical spectrum waveform characteristics. Therefore, it will be the main direction of hyperspectral remote sensing information processing and research identifying mineral through the mineral-spectral absorption characteristic parameter. In order to analysis and study on thermal infrared spectrum of mineral characteristics and unmixing method of rock deeply, this paper carried out the following work:(1) To measure block potash feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, muscovite, biotite, hornblende, dolomite, calcite as experimental specimens, to obtain their emissivity spectrum data by using the Turbo thermal infrared (FTIR) spectral radiometer.(2) To establish knowledge database with the spectral absorption features of the emissivity spectrum of typical minerals, so that the spectral angle could be calculated. Both of them were used to identify typical mineral outdoor as soon as possible.(3) According to the spectral feature of typical minerals, unmixed the emission spectrum of granite blindly using linear mixing approach. The mineral content of the rock can be unmixed without prior knowledge according to the measured emission spectrum.brought about the goal of blind unmixing endmember and mineral content of the rock. The results would provide a effective way for recognising common minerals and rocks using remote sensing technology. It also would promote basic research of remote sensing and quantitative application of remote sensing.
