The study area is located in the Songyihe nonferrous metal metallogenic belt ofDaxinganling. The exposed stratum mainly is Wolegen Group Dawangzi Formation ofNeoproterozoic-Lower Cambrian Series, which is composed of epimetamorphicintermediate-basic (acid) rocks with fine clastic sedimentary construction. The medium tocoarse grained adamellite of Late Triassic-Early Jurassic are the main intrusive rock in thestudy area, where scattered granite porphyry, dacite rocks and dirorite porphyrite, etc. NEtrend faults controlled the spatial distribution of the mineralization alteration zone.The study area exposed fifty-three Cu-Mo polymetallic ore bodies, including twelveore bodies (six molybdenum ore bodies, two copper-molybdenum ore bodies and one zincore body) and forty-one mineralized bodies. The ore bodies and mineralized bodies withtotal thickness of26.92m and86.68m respectively. The orebodis (mineralized orebodies)is NE-SW direction and SE tendency with angle of30to40degrees, and the thicknesschanged little along the occurrence of deep ore bodies.The Cu-Mo polymetallic mineralization is controlled by the Dawangzi Formation,NE trending faults and adamellite. And the beresite in Dawangzi Formation is the mainore-bearing stratum. Late Triassic adamellite provided the heat and material sources forthe enrichment of Cu-Mo metal provides heat and material sources.We summarized prospecting indications for the deposit as follows:①. Geologicalindications: The study area has a planar alteration with chloritization–epidotization-quartz sericitization-quartz potash feldspathization–pyritization. And the center of thevolcano-tectonic magmatic activity is the best location to explore acidic intrusive related porphyry Cu-Mo deposit.②.Exploration geochemistry indication: Anomalies which havethe best composition, large area of soil geochemistry exploration indications, for instance:anomalies of Hs-5.③. Exploration geophysical indication:Mineralized bodies havemiddle resistivity and high polarizability, for instance: ηa-01.On the basis of comprehensive research and summarized prospecting indications, wedetermined the favorable area of exploring the porphyry Cu-Mo deposit and carried workwith trenching and drilling in the Cu-Mo-Pb-Zn annolies. The assemblage anomaly ofHt-10is the important area which has good ore-probing future with obvious prospectingefficiency. The area of middle resistivity and high polarizability(ηa-01) with large area andregular shape is the another favorable prospecting place for exploring the porphyry Cu-Modeposit.
