The land has related to human survival and development. The rapid developmentof social economy has made LUCC recession deeper in recent years. Because of thesituation of eco-environment deterioration had not been effective commanded andhuman life was brought a huge challenge by this, many scholars paid high attention toLUCC and driving-force, which provided the scientific and theoretical basis for theevolution trend of regional land resources utilization and sustainable development.The study based on the present situation of LUCC research for domestic andoverseas, developed the technical route and selected methods to research LUCC forthe Jilin section of Liaohe River. Through ENVI technology to obtain the land useremote sensing images in the begin and the end of11th five-year plan period of theJilin section of Liaohe River, which determined the land use types for the study areain seven classes, namely, forests, thickets, grassland, wetland, farmland, town andbare land. The study analyzed the LUCC of the Jilin section of Liaohe River fromthree aspects like amount, degree and space in the11th five-year plan period byArcGIS10.0, and revealed the development of LUCC for the study region in the future.This paper also analyzed the driving-force of LUCC from qualitative and quantitativeaspects, which selected18social and economic indicators to calculate contributiondegree of driving-force factors and got multiple regression equation by stepwiseregression analysis. Finally the paper put forward countermeasures to providereference basis for the land use structure of the Jilin section of Liaohe River.The final conclusions after analysis were as follows:(1) Land use typesincreased with towns, forest, grassland and wetland, reduced with cultivated land,bare land and thickets during the study. Despite the cultivated land quantity changedbiggest, the change rate is not significant. The biggest single land use dynamic degreewas bare, followed by wetlands, grass, etc. Comprehensive land use dynamic0.4showed that land use change rate is flat for the Jilin section of Liaohe River;(2) Theland use composite index between288-289showed that the land use type was givenpriority to with agriculture and animal husbandry for study area;(3) Through theanalysis of the transfer matrix of land use type could know the transfer direction andquantity of all land use types. The most complicated land use types were cultivated land and wetland what possessed both the number of rolling-in and rolling-out;(4)This paper calculated contribution degree of driving-force factors based on the18social and economic indicators by PCA, which concluded principal component1and2could be well generalized18social and economic indicators. Through stepwiseregression analysis concluded that the cultivated land area increasing affected by theGDP increasing and the TIFA reducing, the urban construction land area changed bythe fiscal revenue and REINV increasing;(5) Finally the paper put forwardcountermeasures and suggestions of the Jilin section of Liaohe River, whichcontributed to be more reasonable for land use structure.
